After studying the Web-comic more, I realize that one point the author is trying to make, is how we all become obsessed with the things that we love, and also obsessed with the things that we hate, and how eventually they will be the end of us. Recently we have been discussing reality television and how it relates to actual "reality". This can also be seen in the web-comic, by how we all have the same problems (War, food shortage, population increase,etc...), and It's not that we don't want to help, its that we can't. As college freshman, we simply don't have the say, power, or influence of many people. Leaders of this country who do terrible jobs of leading us have more power than that of the average American, who has more insight and less influence by money, and other private organizations that buy out the congressmen votes. Making a web-comic was a smart way of producing his or her thoughts. You can not only hear his or her message, but see it, and the reactions it causes. The comic not only speaks a good message, but it also shows in the pictures, how outside influence, and higher government is almost in every slide. How if we don't take the time to address and realize the mistakes and problems out country has, then soon it will ruin us, both by what we love, and by what we hate.
